Color Palette Inspiration with Design Seeds

One dreamy design website that provides endless amounts of inspiration is Design Seeds. This gorgeous website and design practice uses elegant photography to select a 6-color swatch palette and presents the color selection in an organized template. All the color codes for each swatch is listed along with the photo so referencing the exact color is easy.

This autumn sailboat palette shown above was an inspiration for ink colors for a trending Fall color campaign with Imagine Crafts ( to be published across Mailchimp, Instagram, and Facebook Live). Working for a crafting ink company has challenges in making customers awareness of all the color skus and offerings. My thoughts were to take this color palette and use it with one of the best items of the fall season—the pumpkin! One of the trending fall themes I see in retail shops are non-traditional pumpkins mixed together with classic orange pumpkins. Using the blue and deep orange scheme to show off a variety of pumpkin styles with the same stamp creates a fun look. Crafters wanting to create a quick paper crafting project can experiment with different ideas in this color spread.

Depending on what it is your are selling or promoting using a different color scheme may not be appropriate for your company. For a crafting ink pad company it is essential to keep color in the forefront. If you are doing something like selling a digital product, ad campaigns can always use a little change up and it would be good to adjust the brand enough to allow more color schemes into the brand identity. I see color change as a way to keep up with the pulse of trends which is vital for any company in today’s twisting and turning competitive playing field.
